DEQ Extends Go RED! Application Deadline

NORTH LITTLE ROCK— The Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment’s Division of Environmental Quality (DEQ) announces that it will continue accepting applications for the Go RED! program through June 30, 2023.

The program, which is funded under the Diesel Emission Reduction Act, provides funding assistance to Arkansas-based organizations for projects that reduce diesel emissions from heavy-duty highway trucks, buses, marine engines, locomotives and nonroad engines. Project types include:

• Vehicle and equipment replacement

• Engine replacement

• Certified remanufacture systems

• Idle reduction technology

• Retrofits

• Clean alternative fuel conversions

• Aerodynamic technologies and low rolling resistance tires

The Go RED! program has a rolling deadline. The first deadline to apply was December 31, 2022. Subsequent deadlines will be on the last day of each following month until all funds are awarded, or until June 30, 2023, whichever comes first.
