Arkansas Geological Survey Transitions into the Office of the State Geologist

NORTH LITTLE ROCK— The Arkansas Geological Survey (AGS) will transition into the Office of the State Geologist (OSG) effective July 1, 2023.

According to Act 697 that was enacted this past legislative session, all authority, functions, duties and personnel of the AGS will transfer to OSG within the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission.

OSG will remain located at the Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment headquarters at 5301 Northshore Drive, North Little Rock, Ark.
