LIHEAP Summer Cooling Program Begins July 25

NORTH LITTLE ROCK—Beginning July 25, income-qualified Arkansans can apply for the 2022 Summer Cooling Program operated by the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). The program assists individuals and families with electricity bills that are past due or higher as a result of rate increases and the use of air conditioners.

Community Action Agencies (CAA) will begin accepting applications on July 25, and assistance will be available until funds are completely expended or until September 30, whichever comes first. Arkansans can find more information about the CAA serving their county at: https://www.adeq.state.ar.us/energy/assistance/liheap.aspx.
