Readout of the Governor’s Roundtable with Arkansas Energy Leaders and Stakeholders

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Following Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ roundtable discussion with Arkansas energy leaders and stakeholders, Sanders’ spokeswoman Alexa Henning released the following readout:

“Today, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders emphasized her commitment to improving Arkansas’ energy infrastructure while fostering the dynamic growth of the sector during her roundtable discussion with energy leaders and stakeholders, which included Secretary of the Department of Energy and Environment Shane Khoury, the Governor’s nominee for Chair of the Public Service Commission Doyle Webb, and Director of the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management AJ Gary. The group discussed ways to improve electric power grid reliability and ensure our state has adequate energy resources, while also reviewing current operating procedures during emergencies. Governor Sanders looks forward to working with these leaders to provide affordable, efficient energy to all Arkansans and maintain a secure electric power grid that can support our state in any emergency or weather event.”
